Q1: Why should I purchase a Jetstream water and energy efficient shower when I have been told the same savings can be achieved by fitting a simple restrictor, at lower cost?

This is a misconception! The fitting of a restrictor is a problem because while the flow rate is reduced, the showerhead is not designed to operate at the lower rate.

The standard unrestricted shower is designed to operate at flow rates of 12- 24 litres per minute and cannot be controlled to Jetstream’s water volume of 5-12 litres per minute without severely affecting the quality of the shower.

Q2: I have a large family and we find that by the time the last person gets in the shower its cold. Can a Jetstream shower solve this problem?

YES! Because the showers use significantly (typically between 30-70%) less water you will find that the amount of hot water you have will go much further. By installing a Jetstream Shower you should no longer have the problem of running out of hot water.

Q3: We suffer from low water pressure and struggle to obtain more than a dribble from our shower. What can we do?

Jetstream showers increase shower pressure through increased velocity generated from the specially designed jets, giving a higher quality shower than traditional showerheads.

Q4: I have an instantaneous hot water system. Are Jetstream showers compatible with these systems

YES! We have excellent feedback with regards to our showerheads for use with these systems due to its adaptability and high quality spray patterns. However, some system manufacturer's state that there should not be any restriction at the outlet as this could cause damage to the tank. Consult your manufacturer's instructions manual before installation.

Q5: I have a solar hot water system what do I need a Jetstream shower for?

You will still be paying excessive water rates and, the installation of a Jetstream shower can increase the efficiency of your solar system by reducing the time that you need to have your hot water solar boosters on.

Q6: Can the use of a Jetstream showerhead help with septic tank problems such as blockages?

YES! By reducing the amount of water entering the system the showers may help prevent costly blockages and problems associated with soak holes in poor drainage areas that result in nasty odours being given off by open drains and grounds.

Q7: What warranty is there on the product?

The product carries a two year warranty against defects and faulty workmanship and manufacture. Proof of purchase must be presented with any warranty claim (receipt/invoice).

Q8: I keep running out of Hot water! What can I do?

This can be a traumatic and disruptive experience.

e.g If a family of 4 run out after two showers they are faced with the dilemma of buying another hot water system to add to the existing one or buying one twice the size to replace the existing one.

Either way a considerable capital cost is involved and now their energy bill will be doubled. Fitting a Jetstream shower will solve this problem. In large commercial developments the installation of the Jetstream shower will reduce the total hot water requirement and thereby reduce the need for hot water storage costs.

Q9: There's no water coming out of my shower!

In some homes and also commercial establishments, low water pressure or poor distribution systems can cause only one shower to be operated at any one time. Because the Jetstream showers use less than ½ the water used by water wasting showers the problem is solved.

Q10: I have a Solar Hot Water System, is this a problem?

Using a Jetstream shower in conjunction with a solar hot water system will double the efficiency of the solar system.

This means the booster may never be needed or at worst very rarely.

Q11: Will the use of the water saving shower cause pressure in pipes and damage the plumbing system?

A Jetstream shower, like other showers, release pressure when taps are turned on, rather that creating back pressure, and should therefore not cause problems in the plumbing system.

Q12: Is it difficult to rinse away the soap - especially when shampooing hair - due to the lesser volume of water?

No. The design creates greater velocity than a standard shower rose and uncompromised water dispersion, which provides even more efficient cleansing properties than your normal shower head. Ensure the taps are turned on as normal to ensure a forceful shower spray.

Q13: What pressure do I need for a Jetstream shower to operate?

The Jetstream shower works consistently and effectively at any pressure over 15psi and has been used to improve the quality of the showers in areas of very low pressure with a gravity fed hot water system.
